Hi, I'm Nish.
Perimenopause doesn't announce itself with a memo. It arrives quietly while you are sitting in the middle of a high-stakes board meeting, wondering why the word you need is sitting right behind your teeth, refusing to come out.
For two decades, my life was built on momentum. As a global HR and talent leader, I moved through rooms in Bangkok, Amsterdam, California, New York and now Dubai. I navigated international corporate cultures, built teams, ran executive searches, and coached people through massive organisational shifts. I knew how the game was played, and more importantly, I knew how to win it.
Then my own biology shifted the goalposts. Mid-career, perimenopause hit. For the first time, my standard toolkit of discipline, strategy and sheer willpower wasn't working. The exhaustion was structural, the brain fog was uncharacteristic, and the quiet internal panic of "what is happening to me?" was loud enough to drown out everything else.
I had a choice: quietly step back and suffer in silence like generations of women before me, or treat this transition like the complex organisational change it actually was. I chose the latter. I built the frameworks, protocols and tools I desperately wished existed.
Along the way I realised something profound: the women quietly questioning their competence, walking out of boardrooms feeling defeated, or editing themselves out of leadership pipelines aren't losing their edge. They are navigating perimenopause, completely unaware that their biology is driving the narrative.
I wasn't willing to push through it quietly, so I built the tools I wished existed. Now I coach women through the exact thing I lived: staying sharp, staying confident, and staying in the room when it counts.
“The moment I forgot a colleague's name mid-sentence, twenty years into my career, that's when I stopped managing it and started understanding it.”
