Effective Date: 11 October 2026
These Terms of Business (the "Terms") set out the rules for using The MenoCause website and app, and the terms on which we provide The MenoCause Momentum™ coaching. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

2. Acceptance
By creating an account, taking The Impact Assessment or booking Coaching, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
3. Our Services and Medical Disclaimer
3.1 The MenoCause helps women understand how perimenopause and menopause symptoms affect their work and daily life. We offer:
- Free tools: The Impact Assessment and The MenoCause Symptom Tracker, including My Insight Report. These are free to use, and no payment details are needed.
- Optional paid Coaching: The MenoCause Momentum™, for women who choose to pay for one-to-one support (see Section 5).
3.2 The Platform and Coaching provide general wellness information and support. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they do not replace a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
3.3 Results, Pattern Summaries, Impact Profiles and reports are generated automatically from the information you enter. They are only as accurate as that information and are not a clinical assessment.
3.4 Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional about any health concern, before starting or stopping any medication or supplement, and straight away in an emergency.
4. Your Account
4.1 Creating an account is free. You do not need to give us any payment details to use the free tools.
4.2 You may use a nickname. Please give us a valid email address so you can sign in and receive anything you ask us to send.
4.3 You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at nishita@themenocause.net if you think someone else has accessed it.
4.4 You can stop using the Platform at any time. To close your account or have your data deleted, email nishita@themenocause.net. We will delete your data, except for records the law requires us to keep.
5. The MenoCause Momentum™ Coaching
Coaching is a paid programme. The free tools work fully without it.
5.1 Clarity Call. You can book a free 20-minute Clarity Call through our booking page. It is a chance to talk through where you are and whether Coaching is right for you. There is no obligation to buy.
5.2 The programme. The MenoCause Momentum™ is four one-to-one sessions of 60 minutes each, held once a week over four consecutive weeks, by video call. It includes between-session tasks and ends with your Momentum Plan.
5.3 Fees. The fee is agreed on your Clarity Call and confirmed to you in writing before you pay. Your booking is confirmed once payment is received.
5.4 Payment. Payment is taken through Stripe, in full before your first session. We never see or store your full card details.
5.5 Rescheduling. You can reschedule a session free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. A session missed without that notice may count as used. If we need to reschedule, we will offer you a new time as soon as possible.
5.6 Your commitment. By booking The MenoCause Momentum™, you commit to a four-week coaching programme, with one session each week for four consecutive weeks. Sessions are designed to build on each other, so they cannot be paused or spread out, except where a single session is rescheduled under Section 5.5 or we agree otherwise in writing.
5.7 Cancellations and refunds. You can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before your first session. After the programme has started, sessions already held are not refundable, and we will refund any sessions not yet held. If we cancel the programme, we will refund you for any sessions not delivered.
5.8 What Coaching is and is not. Coaching gives you practical strategies for managing symptoms at work, talking to your doctor and talking to your manager. It is not medical treatment, therapy, counselling or diagnosis, and your coach is not acting as your doctor. Your coach will not diagnose any condition, interpret test results, or recommend starting, stopping or changing any medication, supplement or treatment. If you ask a medical question, we will help you prepare to raise it with your doctor instead. Results depend on many things outside our control, so we cannot guarantee a particular outcome.
5.9 Confidentiality. What you share in Coaching stays confidential. The only exceptions are where the law requires us to disclose it, or where we believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm (see Section 5.11). We never share it with your employer unless you ask us to in writing.
5.10 Before your first session. When you book, you will complete a short intake form. It asks for the name and phone number of an emergency contact (please make sure they have agreed to be contacted), and you must confirm, by ticking a required box, that you understand Coaching is not medical treatment, therapy or diagnosis. We keep a dated record of your confirmation. You cannot start Coaching without completing it.
5.11 If we are concerned for your safety. At the start of each session, we may ask where you are, so we can direct help to you if it is ever needed. If we believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, we will follow this process:
- Immediate danger. If there is an immediate risk to life, we will call emergency services: 998 for an ambulance or 999 for the police. We will give them your name, your location if we know it, and the reason for our concern.
- Your emergency contact. We will then contact the emergency contact you gave us, tell them we are concerned for your safety, and share only what they need to help you.
- Serious concern, but no immediate danger. We will talk with you about our concern and encourage you to contact your doctor or a mental health service. In Dubai, you can call the National Hope helpline on 800 4673 (800 HOPE) or Dubai Health's Itma'en line on 800 506. If we remain concerned, we may contact your emergency contact.
- Telling you. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you before we contact anyone. If that is not possible, we will tell you afterwards what we did and why.
- Keeping it limited. We share only the information needed to keep you safe. We do not share what you have said in sessions beyond that.
- Record. We keep a written record of what we observed, what was said, who we contacted, when, and why, stored confidentially with your coaching records.
- Next steps. We may pause or end Coaching under Section 5.12 and refund any sessions not yet held under Section 5.13.
By booking Coaching, you agree to this process.
5.12 Ending Coaching for other reasons. We may also end Coaching if we believe it is no longer right for you, for example if you need medical or mental health care that coaching cannot provide. We will explain why and suggest where to find appropriate support.
5.13 Refunds if we end Coaching. If we end Coaching under Section 5.11 or 5.12, we will refund any sessions not yet held.
6. Health Data and Privacy
6.1 We are the Data Controller of your Personal Data under the PDPL. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your rights.
6.2 We process your Health Data only with your explicit consent, which you give by agreeing to our Privacy Policy when you create an account or take The Impact Assessment.
6.3 If you send My Insight Report to a doctor or anyone else, you are choosing to share your Health Data with them. Please check the email address carefully, as we cannot recall a report once it is sent.
7. Acceptable Use and Emails
7.1 You agree not to use the Platform to break the law, enter false or misleading information about someone else, impersonate anyone, attempt to access other users' data, or copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Platform.
7.2 We send service emails, such as sign-in emails, reports you ask for and booking confirmations, because they are needed to provide the service. We send marketing emails only if you tick the box to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All Platform and Coaching content, including The MenoCause name and logo, design, copy, software, The Impact Assessment, The MenoCause Momentum™ and all coaching materials, belongs to the Company or its licensors.
8.2 You may use Coaching materials and your Momentum Plan for your own personal use. You may not copy, share, sell or use them to coach others without our written permission.
8.3 Your own entries and notes remain yours.
9. Liability
9.1 The free tools are provided "as is". We work to keep them accurate and available, but we do not promise they will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
9.2 We are not responsible for decisions you make about your health, work or treatment based on the Platform or Coaching, or for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of income or opportunity.
9.3 Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for Coaching in the 12 months before the claim.
9.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under UAE law, or takes away your rights as a consumer under UAE law.
9.5 Other websites and tools. The Platform may link to or use other services, such as Calendly, Stripe, blogs, podcasts or product websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products, availability or privacy practices. Anything you buy from another business is between you and that business.
9.6 Events outside our control. We are not responsible for any delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet, hosting or power outages, natural disasters, government action, or a serious illness or emergency affecting your coach. If this affects a Coaching session, we will reschedule it as soon as possible. If we cannot, we will refund that session.
10. Changes, Suspension and Ending
10.1 We may update the Platform, add or remove features, or update these Terms. For material changes, we will tell you through the Platform or by email before they take effect. Changes do not affect Coaching you have already paid for.
10.2 We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or is used to harm others. If this affects paid Coaching not yet delivered, we will refund those sessions unless the law allows otherwise.
10.3 You can stop using the Platform at any time. Sections 8, 9 and 11 continue to apply after you stop.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
11.1 These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah.
11.2 If you have a complaint, please email nishita@themenocause.net first.
11.3 If we cannot resolve it, the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
12. General
12.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and any written confirmation of your Coaching fee form the whole agreement between us.
12.2 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
12.3 Transfer. We may transfer our rights under these Terms to a business that takes over The MenoCause, and will tell you if we do.
12.4 Language. If these Terms are translated, the English version applies unless UAE law requires otherwise.
